This year, we’re thrilled to be part of the 31st edition of LearnTec, Europe’s leading event for digital education. As we prepare to join the movers and shakers of education in Karlsruhe, we can’t wait to dive into the must-see presentations and demonstrations about integrating technology-supported learning and assessing into education systems.

LearnTec’s importance in the world of digital education is growing every year, and this year’s programme is more expansive and impressive than ever. Known across Europe for bringing together education experts and decision-makers from every sector, LearnTec is more than just a trade fair. It’s a unique blend of convention and exhibition, showcasing the latest in IT-supported learning methods, technologies, and best practices for life-long learning. Schloss Karlsruhe: Start your exploration at the heart of the city, Schloss Karlsruhe. This grand palace, surrounded by beautiful gardens, now houses the Badisches Landesmuseum, where you can learn about regional history and culture.

ZKM Centre for Art and Media: For a blend of creativity and technology, visit the ZKM Centre for Art and Media. This innovative space showcases cutting-edge media art and technology-driven exhibitions, making it a perfect complement to the themes of LEARNTEC.

Botanischer Garten Karlsruhe: If it’s nature and tranquility you seek, the Botanischer Garten offers a peaceful retreat with its diverse collection of plants and beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and reflect on the day’s learnings.

Karlsruhe Zoo: If being in the Messe Karlsruhe surrounded by people all day gets a bit tiring, the Karlsruhe Zoo provides a respite. Spend some time with a wide range of animals and interactive exhibits!

Vogelbräu: If it’s a proper biergarten you want, experience locally brewed beer at Vogelbräu.

Hoepfner Burghof: Another must-visit for beer enthusiasts is Hoepfner Burghof, located in a historic castle-like building. Their beer garden is a fantastic spot to relax and savour traditional German brews.

For Eats

Kaisergarten: For an authentic taste of the Baden-Württemberg region, Kaisergarten is a must-visit. They offer local dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients. We were advised to get the schnitzel.

Oberländer Weinstube: if you interested in something a little more posh, they bring a creative twist to traditional local cuisine, making it a favourite among food enthusiasts. This upscale restaurant is known for its innovative dishes that blend local flavours with modern culinary techniques.
