Visitors to World of Learning 2026 can take a real test, or build one of their own in minutes, on the Cirrus Assessment stand (G180) at the NEC in Birmingham on 6 and 7 October. The aim is simple: to show what workplace assessment looks like when it tests what people can do, not just what they remember.
Multiple-choice questions are quick to set up, easy to mark and still a valuable way to check knowledge. But the way people work has changed. They use search engines, AI tools and incomplete information every day, and what often matters most is how well they interpret it and make decisions. A broader mix of question types lets organisations capture that too.
On the stand, visitors can try two things:
Take a test: Try a short assessment in Cirrus Neo on a laptop, tablet or phone. The interface adapts to any screen and supports a wide range of question types, from multiple choice, matching and sequencing to essays, file uploads and Excel questions. This means organisations can check how well learners apply what they know in realistic, work-like tasks.

Build a test: Start from a piece of training material and generate a complete draft assessment in a few minutes, with scoring criteria and rubrics included. Every question is based only on the material you provide, and all AI processing stays within the EU. This uses AI-assisted authoring from Examplary, integrated into Cirrus. The AI creates the first draft, while your subject experts stay in charge of the final version, reviewing and approving every question before it is used.

Jeroen Fransen, Head of Product at Cirrus Assessment, said: “Writing good assessment questions takes real time and expertise. AI can take a lot of that work away, but in assessment, trust matters as much as speed. That’s why the AI works only from the material you give it, and we will always keep a human in the loop, so your experts have the final say. At World of Learning, visitors can see that in action with our sample material, and talk to the team about how it would work with their own.”
