This year’s theme is “Better Together”, and we are so proud to participate in a conference that promises to be full of new ideas and brilliant minds in e-assessment.

The assessment industry is evolving, prompting testing professionals and programs to adapt to new ways of learning and measuring outcomes. Digital access, remote workforces, AI, equity, personalised learning, and alternative assessments are impacting how the world learns, transforming the value of assessment. The ‘Better Together’ ATP conference will be full of networking with thought leaders and colleagues, learning new tools and best practices, and advancing the assessment industry. When we collaborate, we improve the efficacy of learning and renew the value of assessment to drive better outcomes!

To do in Dallas (when you aren’t talking LOFT 3.0 with us, that is)

If you’re in Texas, it’s no surprise that BBQ brisket is probably high on your list after some sightseeing. We recommend:

To Eat:

Pecan Lodge – This is a popular BBQ restaurant located in the Deep Ellum neighbourhood of Dallas. They are known for their delicious brisket, but they also serve other BBQ classics like ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. The sides are also excellent, especially the mac and cheese and the fried okra.

Cattleack Barbeque – This BBQ joint in the north Dallas suburb of Farmers Branch is known for its brisket, which is smoked for up to 18 hours.

To explore:

Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden – This beautiful 66-acre garden is located on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake. It has a variety of gardens and landscapes, including a rose garden, a vegetable garden, a fragrance garden, and a children’s garden. There are also several art installations throughout the gardens.

Bishop Arts District – This neighbourhood is known for its eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and art galleries. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon browsing the shops and trying out some of the local cuisines

Visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science – This museum has exhibits on a variety of scientific topics, including geology, biology, and engineering. It’s an excellent place for both kids and adults to learn and explore

We look forward to seeing you in Dallas!
