Every decision, evidenced

Cirrus Data & Insights gives you faster answers, earlier warnings and evidence for every decision, all from the assessment data you already have.

Two ways to put your data to work

Data: For Deeper Analysis

database-share
Connect assessment to the rest of the organisation

Bring assessment data into Power BI, Tableau or Excel and put it next to the business data that explains it. Performance, spend, outcomes: one picture instead of three exports.

Retire the copy-paste report

The monthly ritual of exporting, reformatting and rebuilding the same spreadsheet ends here. Your Cirrus data flows straight into the reports and dashboards your organisation already runs on.

Insights: For everyday answers

Built around your questions

Your Customer Success Manager builds dashboards around the questions your organisation actually asks. No report builder to learn, nothing to maintain, they're just there when you log in.

See it when it happens, not in the annual report

Insights dashboards stay up to date inside Cirrus, so a shifting pass rate, a struggling cohort or an underperforming item shows up while you can still do something about it.

What could your data tell you?

High abandonment rates in a specific section can point to confusing content, poor UX, technical issues or unrealistic time expectations.

With detailed data on item-level performance, time-on-task and navigation behaviour, teams can see exactly where candidates drop out, how long they spend before abandoning, and whether this varies by cohort or device. That turns a vague concern (“people keep dropping out here”) into a focused improvement plan.

Headline scores can’t tell you whether a question is tough but fair, or unclear and misleading.

However, by examining item statistics, timing data and candidate behaviour (answer changes, patterns of partial completion), assessment teams can distinguish genuinely challenging questions from those that are confusing or ambiguous. That insight supports systematic item review and quality improvement, rather than relying on complaints or intuition.

Accessibility adjustments are designed to level the playing field, but it’s hard to know if they’re working without looking at the data.

With visibility over which tools are used, how often, by whom, and with what impact on performance and completion, teams can see whether accommodations are delivering the intended outcomes. They can identify where adjustments appear to be effective, and where further changes to design or support may be needed.

Delivery problems don’t always show up in overall pass rates, but they can seriously affect candidate experience and trust.

By tracking incidents (technical issues, interruptions, reschedules) at centre level and over time, teams can see patterns that might indicate local infrastructure problems, training needs or process weaknesses. This allows targeted operational support, rather than treating each incident as an isolated event.

High resit rates can carry both cost and reputational impact, but they also highlight opportunities to improve learning and assessment design.

With integrated views of first-time outcomes, resit patterns and cohort behaviour, organisations can identify which qualifications generate the most repeat attempts, which groups are most affected, and how this links to item performance or delivery models. That helps focus investment where it will have most impact.

Regulators and stakeholders increasingly expect assurance that assessments are fair and stable over time.

By monitoring cohort performance, item behaviour and regional variance across sessions, organisations can demonstrate that assessments are behaving consistently – or identify where drift is occurring and show how they’re addressing it. Data & insights turn “we believe it’s consistent” into “here’s the evidence.”

Unusual response patterns can be early indicators of integrity issues, coaching effects or emerging risks.

By analysing how candidates interact with items (timing, answer changes, navigation), and comparing these patterns across cohorts and centres, teams can spot behaviours that deviate from expected norms. That doesn’t replace human judgement, but it gives integrity teams better signals about where to look more closely.

Many assessment issues appear in the data long before they appear in our inboxes.

Changes in completion patterns, rising incident rates, unusual item behaviour or shifts in candidate timing can all act as early warning signals. Monitoring these trends allows teams to investigate and intervene before small issues become large ones.

Overall pass rates rarely tell us where learning breaks down.

By combining assessment outcomes with timing, item performance and progression data, organisations can identify where candidates lose momentum, repeatedly struggle or disengage. That creates opportunities to improve learning support rather than simply analysing failure after the fact.

Assessment data can help us understand whether high-performing candidates are succeeding for the reasons we intended.

Patterns in item performance, timing and candidate behaviour can reveal whether assessments are rewarding genuine competence, test-taking strategy or familiarity with question formats.

Most organisations do not have a data collection problem. They have a decision problem.

Effective analytics helps assessment teams move beyond reporting outcomes and towards understanding causes, identifying risks and prioritising improvement activity where it will have the greatest impact.
