Historically, organizations have been forced to choose between a product that looked great, but offered limited functionality, or a platform that, while highly featured, proved cumbersome, complicated, and difficult to use. Cirrus has proven this choice to be a false dichotomy by creating the only e-assessment platform that combines the usability and intuitiveness of a simple app, with a holistic, customizable, end-to-end solution.
Part 1: Organization-wide training and implementation
A smooth start-up phase is essential for the success of any new technological platform. On its face, any organizational change can be daunting, and often, rightfully so. This is why Cirrus has created a platform and process with this in mind, including an implementation and training process that eases the traditional pain points. At the heart of this is clear communication and a pragmatic approach that addresses short, medium, and long-term goals. That is why Cirrus schedules extra time for communication via Kick-off meeting, progress meetings, communication during integrations / links (Slack), collaboration (Google docs), ongoing communication (Email and Skype), and access to 24/7 technical support (more on this in part 2).
Though a basic platform to deliver exams can be done in as little as three days, the normal lead time before first exam delivery averages three months, or approximately 100 dedicated hours. Furthermore, each key-user will require about 12 hours of training. The time necessary for your organization will depend on the scale of the organization’s particular needs. When it comes to transferring and converting existing exams onto the platform, Cirrus is able to leverage our experience with leading Awarding Organization and Universities in order to ‘lift and shift’ existing exams and question banks into the platform, while additional support can always be arranged.
To help our partners with with learning transformation, Cirrus is ‘plugged in’ to a global network of Subject Matter Experts (SME) with a great depth of experience in leveraging advanced technology to transform assessments, from classical exams to emerging ways of authentic teaching and learning, like micro- credentials. Other transformations Cirrus can support include leading edge innovations such as peer-to-peer feedback and assessment, and candidate co-creation of learning content.
Part 2: Access to a support team
Functional and Technical support is included in the Cirrus License fee. Functional support is available by phone or ticketing system and consists of 2nd line support (1st line is done by designated super- users of ATI) available during European office hours. Additional support hours can be discussed with the Account manager. Technical Support may be provided for issues caused by 3rd party infrastructure, systems or network setup and where the Cirrus platform is not working as designed. Technical support is available by phone 24/7.
Part 3: Adaptable and Intuitive
Our platform is designed to be intuitive to even the most tech-averse. At Cirrus we believe that the key to success is to not only deliver a wide range of functionalities, but also to make those functionalities accessible and easy to use. We spend considerable time and resources on making the platform as intuitive as possible. We follow guidelines set out by User Experience experts like Jacob Nielsen and Steve Krug. Our motto is: Easy for beginners and advanced for experienced users.
Cirrus has very powerful assessment creation functionality, including blueprint, multiple forms, versioning and collaborative authoring. It is the only e-assessment platform in the world offering high-stakes solution for mathematics and economics through our unique integrations with advanced question types, combined with automatic collection of psychometric data you can be ensured that the assessments will be of the highest quality and valid and reliable for your learners.
We are confident our unique and coherent offering would enable ATI to deliver a holistic end-to-end digital assessment experience and provide you with flexible options not just in terms of delivery models but also question and assessment types, and the ability to not only meet the needs of an evolving assessment landscape, but also lead assessment transformation.
